Is there a repeater, signal booster, or something available for Verizon?

Also... I'm at work. IT won't allow personal stuff plugged into the network. 😕

It's a Verizon Network extender....not something you plug into your companies network.

Simple setup... "Plug into your high-speed Internet connection and place near a window."
Is there another one that you're referring to?

Nope, that's your Network Extender. It "extends" the Verizon "network", not your companies network.

I wonder why it's "required" to plug in to "your existing high speed internet" as stated in step one of the install.

I am by no means an expert on these devices, but my guess is it uses the internet connection to make a wired connection to the Verizon Network and therefor facilitate your "Wireless phone" connection much like a cell tower.

He still has to connect it to his companies broadband connection which is not allowed.
"What type of Internet connection do I need for my Network Extender?
Your Network Extender will work with most broadband or DSL connections (from Verizon or another Internet service provider). A minimum broadband speed of 1 Mbps (Note: Following this link will open a new window with the glossary page, anchored to the definition for Mbps.) is required. The Network Extender isn't supported for use with EVDO (Note: Following this link will open a new window with the glossary page, anchored to the definition for EVDO.), satellite or wireless broadband service."
This also seems to be useless for people who have low signals and don't live in an area that has broadband internet.

Great question! Yes, we have our awesome Network Extender. Here is some information that will help you decide if this is the best option for you http://bit.ly/AKkC . Are you having an issue with service? If so, what is your zipcode? What phone do you have? Are issues inside or outside? -Kinquana

Maybe you did not understand the OP cannot connect the Network Extender into a broadband internet source, making the item useless.

It's not an "understanding" issue. The techs only see key words and then cut and paste whatever answer their check list comes up with. LOL
