I have been having this problem for over a month. It will send text messages to people and I won't hear back from them, then I will text them again and they'll send me a screen capture showing they did reply to me, but I'm not getting the message. It did this on Handcent, Stock messaging app and now with Textra Messaging app. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason, it just seems to do it randomly. I've gone through soft resets, removing and reinstalling apps, deleting things... None of it seems to help.@
I have a Galaxy S6. I'm trying to just use the stock messaging app and seeing what happens, but that also hinders my productivity. I like to be able to text via my PC while I'm working. The fact that the text messages that I'm not getting NEVER come through (as opposed to eventually popping up later) concerns me the the most because I have no idea what else I may be missing from people, and I use texting for both personal and work purposes. I also tried contacting Samsung support, and they had me do a wipe cache partition on the phone, but had no other helpful info. I don't believe I had this issue at all before the most recent software/system update either.
FYI, it happens with all contacts - iPhone and Android users - and, like I said, only happens intermittently, and I don't know about it unless I eventually get a text from someone asking me why I'm not responding to them.
Making sure your text messaging is working is very important Pandor427. I know its frustrating but we will ge this resolved for you. Thanks for contacting Samsung to try and fix your issues. Do you only have this issue at certain place, work or home?

No. It's not specific to any particular location, and it has happened both when I'm on Wi-Fi and off/just on regular mobile data.
I have a google pixel 5-4a. The dropped texts are happening regardless of who the cell phone carrier is for the other person. It makes no difference if I am inside, outside, home or otherwise. I have rebooted phone and router. This is very frustrating! clarkia montana
