I put in a new battery and I’m still having problems with the battery not lasting very long before I have to charge it. The phone is not used very much at all.

Hi SBR12,
I feel your pain; I wish my battery would last longer too (I never get enough). Battery life is subject to personal use and habits. I recommend disabling any unused features such as Bluetooth, WiFi, and any applications running in the background. I personally have an extended battery on my phone (Thunderbolt) and that made a great difference.

lower the screen brightness, decrease the screen timeout time (maybe set it to 15 seconds), turn OFF any haptic feedback (the vibration it makes whenever you touch an icon or type), set the email to only pull every hour or 3 or so (instead of having email constantly pushed to the phone), turn of app notifications (like facebook, words with friends, etc, etc), etc, etc. if you google this subject you will find dozens of tips.
