Jelly Bean Bluetooth not working

Am I the only one that is having issues with my bluetooth no longer working after the Jelly Bean 4.1 software update. I have bluetooth in my car and after the software update it now sounds like a robot. I'm so agitated because I've been in touch with Verizon, Samsung, and Android. Verizon says its not their problem. Samsung is blaming it on my car. And Android told me to get in touch with Samsung or Verizon.

I have done everything that Samsung has told me to, to even include manufacture resetting my phone. That DID NOT work. I lost all of my stuff to find out that this still did not fix the problem.

I'm so mad!!!

I'm having a similar problem.  My GS3 doesn't recognize paired Bluetooth devices 50% of the time.  I can reboot the phone and get things to work, or toggle Bluetooth on/off.  I am also having problem with notifications - the phone doesn't make a sound for 50% of my text messages.

Bretttinla,

Oh no! The Jellybean update should have made your device a little sweeter! (smile). I know how important it is to have a properly working phone. Let's get this fixed. Sometimes when a software update is performed on a device, items do not restore properly. I would recommend a Hard Reset on the device http://bit.ly/LfV00q. The Hard Reset will attempt to repair any software that did not restore properly.
Hope this helps!

Thanks,

I am having the same issue as the OP - garbled / robotic noise when making a call over bluetooth in my '09 Nissan Altima. I have already factory reset the phone.

Where's the fix Verizon?

Is there a fix for this Verizon? I've done a hard factory reset as well and I get the same garbled/robotic noise described above.

I have resolved my Bluetooth issues by deleting the Bluetooth profile on my GS3 and whatever device it was pairing with ,then re-pairing.  This resolved Bluetooth issues.

I am still having problems with notifications.

I have done the un-pair, re-pair quite a few times. The phone pairs fine with the system but the audio that comes from the car's BT system is garbled.

Have you found any info on this or have gotten a fix? I'm not sure if Verizon is going to help me with this problem. I contacted Samsung and Infiniti. Other phones sound fine on the car's BT system.

My BT still does not work, after doing everything Samsung and Verizon both have told me to do - from clearing BT data cache, hard resetting a few times, un-pairing and pairing. Nothing has fixed it.

Its not my car, nor is it Infiniti's problem. Samsung told me that I have to live with the problem now. The developers know what they did and do not want to fix it. What happened to "if its not broke, don't fix it". Why couldn't they just leave well enough alone and kept the Ice Cream sandwich OS.

I just gave up, unfortunately. When I get the chance I'm getting an Apple iPhone. I have Apple everything else, I might as well.

Android is going to lose alot of customers if they don't fix these issues.
