MMS messages

Occasionally I'll be in a group text with people and suddenly I can' send or receieve any types of MMS messages for about 10 minutes to an hour. MMS messages show up separatly and then once the error is done I have to go download each message thay i reveived. Sending messages just fails and i get an error that says Error: Network Error occurred. Sms messages work just fine. A few people I know on Verizon have this same issue. And then it just clears up on its own. Can this be solved??

Steps I've tried:

Chatting with verizon help, Rebooting the phone, resetting network settings, clearing cache and data for messages app, trying other messaging apps, factory resetting the phone, a new sim card, a whole new device, turning on airplane mode and then turning it off, using only data or wifi. Crying and praying to the verizon gods to make my phone work.So far nothing works except for time.

Long time samsung galaxy user and I've never had this much of a problem sending messages before switching to Verizon. I've had this error with the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 ultra as well so it seems like it's a network issue?

Please please advise or let me know if you have had this error too so someone at Verizon can fix it? Thanks all

Thanks for replying Ivone! No, everything else works just fine both data and wifi. I usually have half to full bars in my area. The only thing I see affected is group and picture messages. I'd think if my data was spotty I'd not be able to use anything else.

I have the exact same issue. It's happening more frequently and even more frustrating when in work group chats. I have also tried every single thing listed above, including crying! My Wi-Fi is great at work and home. It doesn't matter where I'm at or whether I'm connected to Wi-Fi or not. There has to be a resolution for this.

This has just started happening to me as of yesterday. Unable to "download" a mms received. Network Error.

I been having this problem since I switched to the FOLD4 last year. Bit 2 days ago it got worst.

I went to the Verizon store yesterday and a lady there had the same problem......

Same issue here for the past few months, Galaxy S23 user. I've tried all the troubleshooting with Verizon reps via Live Chat. The only remaining step is to reset my phone to factory default and start over. Has anyone found a solution to this problem sending MMS messages before I do a reset of the entire phone?

Same here--this happens to me daily! I'm always taken out of my friend group messages for a good 5-10 minutes because of this, especially when the messages become high volume (right when things are interesting and everyone wants to participate). There are 5 people in the group chat.

I too have looked everywhere, tried so many different things. It's annoying. I'm a longtime android use (Samsung) and have been with Verizon for years now. I'm usually a staunch advocate for Android and Verizon but this issue has me wanting to switch.

Just an update from my end as you continue to assist others as well: I tried removing all messaging apps and only using the default Samsung app, but that did not solve the issue.

I have this same exact problem. I have contacted Verizon many, many times. They either hang up or they offer absolutely no solutions. The last time I contacted them, they said they were going to send an engineer out to my area to fix the signal strength. The lady ensured me this would solve all my issues... The very next day, Verizon sent a message saying there was nothing wrong with my signal and everything was resolved. There was no effort to actually rectify the problem.

The only thing that has been a TEMPORARY fix for me is to turn your airplane mode on and off several times (rapidly tap it about 10 times) and then the messages will send. Of course, if you're on the phone, this will not work and you have to hang up on whoever you're speaking with. But this seems to work for me when the messages are just sitting there spinning to no avail. So try this out before you attempt a factory reset and lose all of your data.

Ps. The Verizon reps on here just keep asking the same questions over and over. I think it is a way to just deter us because I've read several boards on this issue and talked to reps online and in store, and they just all ask the same thing and tell me to contact Samsung when clearly is a Verizon issue.

I know that I rely on group and picture messages to stay in contact with my friends and family members myself. I know that I would want to make sure this is working, and we are here to help. When did this issue first start happening? What happens if you try different messaging applications?

Just a nudge to remind Verizon this issue still persists and frustration still grows exponentially. Group messaging and sending MMS of any kind is as unpredictable as the weather. Or perhaps the weather is more predictable.
