How can I delete the message  app?

Which Message app?  Don't you have an 'uninstall' opton in Settings->Apps?

...Just another VZW customer...trying to offer some assistance...

settings/apps/app manager....scroll to the app & uninstall or disable.

Great question, Drfran13! In most cases, you can hold down this application and you will see an X appear in the top right corner. Tap this to delete the messaging application that's on your device. AnthonyM_VZW
