Firstly I am cheap. When my Droid Maxx met death via water I took to eBay for an Android replacement and got the S3. Loved it for two days until I found it wouldn't *consistently* make or receive calls. Consistently changed to wouldn't at all.
2 tickets with Verizon who first said "this is definitely network related" to "this must be device related" to "its the SIM card". I tried the usual routine of battery pull, safe mode boot, reset to factory and finally today a trip to Verizon for a new SIM card.
Of course the device worked fine at Verizon. Get into the car and at home... about 1/10 calls to or from the device work. NEVER one problem with the Motorola. the eBay merchant will take the phone back for full refund.
My question to you-- Samsung again or is this common (as it seems in this forum and others)
