Not receiving texts

I have not been receiving texts from friends this past week (3 different friends told me they sent me a text, and I have not received it). Is there a problem with my fascinate or verizon number? The phone was receiving texts from the same people perfectly fine before.

Have you dialed *228, option 1 to reprogram the phone?
