Though Froyo would be nice, I think that what frustrates me the most about my phone is that the Maintenance fix DJ05 that should have been released to the phones almost a month ago, even more that provided the GPS fix, better battery time, more accurate reading of signal among other things has not been released yet.
I don't blame Verizon at all. This blame solely lies on the shoulders of Samsung.
What's really gonna suck is that Samsung is announcing it's new Galaxy S series line in February. If the current Galaxy S Series does not have it's updates, we all (across all 4 carriers) should have a right to exchange our phones for something that has FULL functionality. Especially if those phones are released with Froyo or Gingerbread.
The other sad part about all this is Samsung does not have the jewels to answer or refute any of these claims nor provide adequate support for their Galaxy S Line.

Some developers on various Android formums believe that DJ05 was never intended as a mainteance release, but rather is/was a test shell for some of the long promised but so far undelivered Froyo updates. FWIW (likely not very much).
