Phone calling with dial pad BIG issue!

So today I finally called a phone number by using the dial pad. The problem I am having is when I dial (555-555-5555) and hit send the phone rings the last phone number called (like using redial). So I end call and the dial pad returns, I then have to dial (555-555-5555) again to get the phone to call the right number. This has happened with several different phone numbers.  I have Android version 4.0.2 and this can be reproduced. Is anyone else having this problem? Does anyone have a fix?
