Play stored music through car bluetooth

Does this phone have the ability to play my stored music on my car blue tooth?  We have tried everything...the blue tooth works..I am able to answer and calls and place calls, but cannot play my music.  Maybe one has nothing to do with the other, but thought I would start here.  Any suggestions?  I have tried an auxiliary cable but it does not work either.  I am told that I should not need a cable to play the music.

The GSIII can play music thru a car's BT. Make sure your car has this capability. You may have to set it up thru your car's audio system. It should also work thru an aux cable, but the phone is capable of BT music.

Yes the phone does send Bluetooth audio to the car. Try going into settings "Bluetooth", tap the gear icon next to the name for your 'paired device'. Then put a check mark in "Media Audio".  Then when you start playing a media player on your phone it should play on your car radio.  There are also differences from car model to model. So you may also need to set the input on the car to Bluetooth device.

Keep in mind that different cars(even different trims of the same car or options installed on the car) may have different levels of BT connectivity.

For instance, I recently rented a Chevy Cruze which had BT connectivity for phone calls, but had no option for playing music thru a BT source. My Toyota Venza, however, does have BT connectivity for calls AND music.

Edit: What car(make/model/trim) are you trying to connect. Maybe someone with the same car would be able to shed more light.
