Verizon,
Can I ask why I cannot uninstall or at least disable preinstalled apps. They constantly use my battery power. Not to mention that, as a 43 year old, mother and dentist have absolutely no use for an NFL app or Slacker radio. I really don't appreciate being forced to have these on my phone. thanks.

Which phone do you have? The Galaxy Nexus where your posted your message doesn't have NFL app or Slacker as a preinstalled application.
Also if your phone is running Android OS 4.0 and higher, the preinstalled apps CAN be disabled.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

some apps cannot be disabled tried this and running newest android version on a galaxy note 3 ... cannot remove Amazon, action memo, flipboard, scapbook in the samsung section or get the Gallery to stop restarting ... don't mind having gallery installed but NOT running ... way too much of MY memory being used on MY phone by apps and too much data being used by pre-installed apps almost nobody wants ... at least in the lastest version of Android you can disable some of them to keep them from restarting constantly and spying on YOU!
