My phone updated a month or so ago and since then I have been having some new issues with my phone. First, the phone only gives an audible alert when I receive text messages once in a while. Other times it will be half the notification sound will go, and the rest of the time there will be nothing.
Second, the auto correct doesn't work the way it used to. It will have a suggested word but it won't auto fill it for me, I have to stop and select the word from the suggestion bar.
Any one else notice similar things?

Wow! I'm sorry to hear that your software update is causing you so many problems. When it comes to updates, these updates are meant to make things easier and not worse. We recommend completing a hard reset after every software update. This method is used to eliminate inconsistent problems. Have you completed a hard reset? If not, please do so after backing up all desired information.

Thank you for the information. Are there instructions somewhere that I can follow to complete the hard reset? Will I lose all of my preference settings, apps, etc and have to re-instate them after the reset?
Yes. It will be like you got a brand new phone.
Just make sure you have your contacts, photo's, personal info backed up.
a reset may help the alerts, but it won't help the auto fill on the keyboard. you now have the new version of the samsung keyboard, and, for whatever reason, it no longer auto fills. it's working as designed. i'm just not sure why they removed the auto fill?
