Remove Adobe Flash on Razr?

Is it a must to remove Adobe Flash because of the Possibility of Destabilizing the Device it is on,  I still have 4.0.4 on my Razr Maxx and I still have Flash on it. So far it's not shown any weird signs but that is why again I'm asking
