Hi everyone! I am currently overseas and mistakenly downloaded the new software version 4.1. I don't have mobile data turned on while here and I only use the phone on WiFi. It is giving me some sim error and it disconnects my wifi every time. "initializing sim card"..
Also the software is really choppy/perofrmance and the screen colors look very bland. Not as vibrant as before. Battery life sucks now as well.
Anyone know where I can download Ice Cream Sandwich for verizon. Would love to go back to the older version at least until I get back to the States.
Thanks,
Stefan

You can't go back to the old firmware, not without voiding your warranty, and those methods can't be discussed on this site.

Thanks for the help! It's a shame. I don't know if anyone else is having problems with the new software, but the phone performance is total crap now. It was so good with the old version!

You could try a factory reset, but you will lose any information that isn't on your SD card. Some things are backed up with your Gmail account and will come back, but make sure anything on internal storage is backed up. Also, iirc, a factory reset clears the activation status, so you will want to wait until you are back in the states to do this.

When will we see a fix for the multiple problems with 4.1.1? It is very important that I have bluetooth function in my car, which I lost with the software update.
As for not being able to go back to the old software, I think we all should have been warned that we would loose features that we paid for before foisting this poorly tested upgrade on us.
