I thought it was my original set of headphones was defective, as one channel ~ left or right... ~ was around 25% of the other ear bud. So, I had them replaced with another pair of headphones that were an upgrade (since Verizon didn't have any stock ear buds in stock), and I'm in the same situation. This was the case before application of the recent G4 update, FYI, so the "patch" didn't break this. Also, I've tested Meridian Player and Google Music Player, and the same issue presents itself.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue, and if so, how did you fix it?
Is this a defect?
