My very new Samsung Galaxy S9+ stopped working
Verizon is not honoring the warranty claiming the phone was damaged
There is no evidence of damage and I do not recall EVER dropping or bending the phone
I have owned MANY cell phones dating back many years and NEVER had a problem like this
How do I know that this is not just a defective phone?

Have you considered reaching out to the manufacturer (Samsung) and file a warranty claim with them directly?
