Trying to teach my grandma how to text on her brand new s4 she just got today and texts aren't being sent or received. We have followed the troubleshooting list over and over again and nothing is working.

Me too! I have only had my S4 a couple weeks, and it has already dropped tons of texts. Verizon - fix this crap! There are countless people on here with this messaging issues on their s4 that have all tried all of your normal troubleshooting. Obviously there are software issues with this device. No wonder you ggave such a good deal on it recently...ridiculous! Stand behind these issues. If it is google's fault and not yours, then they need to provide all of these s4 users with a properly functioning device- either new s4's without these crappy glitches or s5's that supposedly don't have this issues. Ridiculous! And don't even insult me by suggesting it is an app on my phone because I have very few downloaded apps, and I had the same downloaded apps on my previous phone that was ancient and did not have these performance issues. Take a look verizon- I came on here hoping to find a quick fix so I wouldn't have to restart my phone every 5 secs and instead I come to find out that this is my device as a whole
