I got two voice mails today that did not show as missed calls . I call Verizon technical support and ask to speak to a manager. He told me that several people are still having miss call problems and to expect a new update august 1 which is tommorow. I told him this is the last straw , if this new update doesn't work for me, they are going to have to give me a different phone or release me from my contract. This is so frustrating.
i got the same thing yesterday.hopefully this fixes the problem.i told them the same thing and they noted it in my account that i intend on dropping them if this doesnt fix the issues

I think Samsung must have had a Big Difference in how the Phone were Manufactured
My sons phone worked fine on ED04 No Missed Calls
My Phone on the other hand would not run on ED04 it Missed Calls after 1 hour of sitting Idle
and ED05 Completely fixed it I have no Missed Calls anymore
I have read on a Different Forum that Some are some still missing Calls I feel for you I went through that for over 3 months
In the other forum only 2 people still had missed Calls So it looks Like they fixed a large percentage of the Phones
Hope they will just replace the one's ED05 didn't Fix
I did not put ED05 on my Sons If it was not Broke why take the Chance His phone is Definitely Different than Mine and was working fine on ED04
my phone wont even let me download the ED04 update.its dowloands all the way then fails to install.so i cant even get 05 yet.i hope this update tomorrow fixes everything.especially since i am in the process of getting a home business off the ground and missing calls is costing me money
From what I heard and I may be wrong
ED05 was going to be released on Aug 1st But they released Early
After reading your post wardcst24, I called back again to verify and he reassured me that ED06 will be pushed out tommorow because they realized that ed05 didn't resolved the problem. He was a level 2 tech, and also got confirmation that ed06 would be pushed out tommorow from the manager that i had talked to earlier, so we shall see.

This thread was created on the July 31. I had two level 2 techs to tell me they were releasing another update Aug 1st. I made sure that they were not talking about the update that we had already received (ED05) and they said no, and that they realised that the ED05 update did not fix all of the miss issues and expect a new update aug 1st .That was 7 days ago . So evidentally they lied to me to get me off the phone or they were talking about the Ed05 update they we had already had pushed to our phones 3 days before that.
I think they need to replace the phones that do not work
I think you will not see much but stalling until September when the manufacture warranty runs out
Then they will be saying Too Bad it is out of warranty we can sell $$ you a new phone
Verizon shipped me another fascinate overnite. Received it Friday. I declined the update. The phone has been working great. No missed calls, no missed text, even battery life last for a whole instead of 7 hours.. As I sit here typing this the phone automaticallly started downloading software. If it goes back to all of the problems I had on my old phone, I will send it back as well. There should be a way to decline it again, but it won't let me.

Just curious, when they shipped you the phone, what build and firmware version did it come with. Because the miss call issue started after the froyo update. Did your phone have android 2.1 when it arrived????

Under system updates it says I500_ED04-ED05 BUT under status it says FAILED, Probably because I declined the update. As far as I know I'm not missing calls or text. I'm able to dial out without a problem, haven't experienced any dropped calls, no longer taking screen shots and battery life is longer then 7 hours. I have had my replacement phone for a week now. The only problem I have noticed is, it says the battery is charged at 100% when actually it's between 80%-95%. But, I can deal with that vs. missed calls and text.
Firmware is 2.2.1
I thought the Froyo firmware is 2.2.2. Maybe one of the others running it will confirm this.
