Verizon's inability to address service issues

If my land line quits working the "phone company" works the problem to determine what the issue is and works to restore service.  About 6 weeks ago we suddenly have no signal at our home address.  Previously I had no problems with signal anywhere in the house and the neighborhood; for years...  After wading through layer after layer of online worthless help and Verizon store managers ( who are great) powerless to help, I can not find someone to work the problem.  The pat answer seems to be "sorry", guess you live in a hole in our signal.  Really?  One that just appeared?  I don;t want to change providers...have way too many folks attached to our plan, but doesn't it seem strange that a service provider that take your money each month is not held to a standard to address an obvious issue?  It is not like I live in the wilderness...rather smack in the middle of a city of 250K lives.

I hear ya. We just moved to Dallas, TX from Chicago, IL and it just so happened to be at the beginning of the month when they rolled out the new update that caused so many issues. Well my wife and I both have Galaxy S3s, needless to say when we moved in down here she could not get 4G service at all in our new home. Where my phone was receiving a strong 4G signal consistently. She cannot make or receive calls inside, and cannot send or receive text messages inside. It's as if her phone turns into a paper weight inside our house. Meanwhile mine has had no problems what so ever. Called tech support they ran through all of the simple troubleshooting, we went in and swapped our sim card, they sent a replacement phone without the software update, they even changed her phone number. Next step they want to try is to change her phone entirely and see if it helps the situation. Mind you it's been almost a month now that i've had trouble tickets open. I had one rep tell me that I had to buy a $250 network extender if I wanted consistent signal and all the while they refuse to credit me anything because the phone is still usable outside of the home. Boggles my mind!
