I figured I might as well start this now. Interested in location where updates started rolling out tomorrow. Please post when you receive the official OTA update ONLY!

If you deactivate it the phone stays in portrait made. It was on 2.1 but just under settings.

Based on comments I saw here I just looked for new updates with my phone and was there. Downloading now about 19% complete. Long Island NY...631 area code.

ok 5 min or so to OTA download, 10 min or so to install and reboot. Seems to work fine...faster!  Waited less than 90 days to get it. I guess all those other dummies just bought the phone too early... Just teasing...good luck to all.

Just finished up about 5 minutes ago via OTA.

I got this error: UPDATE FAILED or INCOMPLETE. reason: IP_PREVIOUS_UPDATE_FAILED. Any ideas?

For now, I am downloading the update again.

Try taking out the battery, putting it back in and restarting your phone. That happen to me on the last update and that fixed it

Try taking out the battery, putting it back in and restarting your phone. That happen to me on the last update and that fixed it

Thanks. I downloaded three times and even reset the phone with same results. I will try again after removing and inserting the battery. Each re-try requires the entire package to be downloaded over OTA.

  How is your signal strength? Have you tried it from another location?

Make sure your wifi is turned off when downloaded the OTA

Signal is pretty good (3 to 5 bars). Update keeps failing each time.

 I just updated my phone about 3 hours ago, and it came down in about 10-15 minutes with 2 bars, and 7 minutes to install, and everything is working wonderful... I'm in NY
