What are these miscellaneous files for?

I understand there are other posts about this but none of the solutions worked for me.
I'm showing 5.46GB for misc files and I just recently factory reset my phone and only installed a handful of needed apps. I deleted everything from mics files and I've turned off all the apps I don't use.

System Memory, the 5.46GB space used, is for the recovery files, Operating System files and Verizon bloatware. This cannot be removed.

I've seen other peoples phones with less than 1 GB of misc files. How can that be?

Well, IDK, unless they were running something unofficial. I show 8.31GB in my Misc. There are a lot of app data files along with my OS files plus some other app backups in there though, so I basically have 3GB more than my OS in that section. If I clean all that out, I am left with 4.5-5GB OS files in Misc.
