Wi-Fi and Mobile data

Can both wi-fi and movile data be on at the same time. When I "turn-on" wi-fi my mobile data goes off and visa versa. Any suggestions??

That's the way it's supposed to be. You can only use one or the other. Using wifi enables you to talk and surf the web at the same time.
