I know everyone wants to blame Verizon, but it's obviously mostly Samsung's fault, since I don't hear these complaints about the other VZW Android phones, like my wife's Incredible which works perfectly. I used to like Samsung. I thought they were a good bang-for-your-buck company and recommended them to friends. I've bought a couple TVs and DVD players from them in past that worked great. However, the last DVD player was squirrely, but I just thought I got a bad one. Then, I had the Omnia before the Fascinate and I hastily blamed it's problems on Windows Mobile. Now the Fascinate problems of waiting for updates and when they happen, screwing up our phones. I was looking at Blu-ray players the other day, and I just moved past the Samsung ones without even checking them out. They make beautiful, but fatally flawed machines. I'm pretty sure that I am done with Samsung and I will be advising others away from their products. What do the rest of you think? Will you buy Samsung again?
I will, in fact I just got my daughter the Fascinate for $0.00 upgrade price from Best Buy. We didn't load the ED04 update, as both I and the General Manager in the store agreed that it has issues, and to wait until they fix it, which is in the works. I have not had too many problems with the Fascinate, but I have also looked through the other Android forums, and I see their issues also. Any smartphone you purchase may have issues, I don't think there is a "Perfect Phone". A friend of mine had the Incredible, and he junked it and spent the $$$ to purchase a phone off eBay to use on his plan. He said it was well worth the money, he was charging the Incredible 3-4 times a day, and data throughput stunk. After a few replacements, he decided to do that.

No after 2 months of sending my phone back 5 times and Samsung and Verizon are just starting to see they may have a problem
I think the hardware is awesome
I think the Software Development has ruined a good phone
I did recommend this phone to 3 People and now wish I had not all 4 of us now are missing Calls
While my wife's Droid a855 never misses a call and is rock solid
Samsung has been a poor choice for me

Not a chance unless Samsung steps up to the plate and makes an attempt at resolving all or most of the issues (dropped calls, missed texts, screenshots for no reason, freezing up 3-4 times a day)...otherwise, iPhone 5 will probably be mine and my wifes next phone in 2012.
