contact live chat: just lost my droid and need help tracking it via GPS.

my droid phone was just lost/stolen this morning: April 5, 2001.  Need assistance to reach chat with verizon wireless to report it and hopefully tracking it using the phone's GPS

i dont think verizon offers this service

 

you would usually need a third party app on there, that was already installed

 

what phone is it?

your profile says samsung droid

there is no such phone, there are motorla droid, samsung fascinate, samsung continuum.

it is a samsung fascinate. I am trying to inform verizon my phone is gone. Want to use chat becasue I only have my laptop at this moment. do you know  the link for chatting with verizon?

usuallt it pops up when browsing the phone selection

 

but you will most likely have to call them, then they will tell you they cant do anything, ect ect ect

If the Fascinate had Froyo, you could use the Android Market website to automatically push the Plan B app to your devices and track it.  Alas they haven't pushed out Froyo so that's a moot point.

Sorry to hear about your phone but as others have said it may be to late unless you were running an app to help you locate.  Even though the technology is out there to track cell phones (Law Enforcement only) Verizon probably can't help you here.

 

I do have a suggestion , look at the Mobile Recovery App  from Assurion.  It is free if you have their insurance on your device. Little late maybe for this device but hopefully some protection for your next one.

Definitely call Verizon CS so they can put the phone on lost/stolen list.

I just whistle and my phone comes running to me. Theres an App for that!

you have to whistle? I have an app on mine that reads my thoughts, it requires 2.2, though.
