not receiving 1 participant text in group messages

I recently switched to an S4 mini from and iPhone 4s.   I group text regularly with 3 coworkers (all three are using iPhones with 1 on Verizon 1 on sprint and 1 on ATT).  I always receive the texts from the Verizon and Sprint users but never get the texts from the ATT user when texting in the group setting.  With that said, I can text normally with the ATT user without a problem when it is just the two of us.  He has deleted my contacted and re-added me, he has changed the "send as sms" in the messages section of his setting on his iPhone.  Any idea what is the issue?

Let's see what's causing the problem! Did the issue immediately began upon activating the iPhone? Are you all using iMessage or standard messaging?
