my dad lost his s7 and is bummed about losing photos. he has no idea if there were cloud backups. what clouds should he check? what are default setting for a new s7 regarding google photos cloud, verizon cloud, samsung cloud or other clouds?
We understand the importance that photos have. It is possible that all the services you mentioned could have been used to back up photos. Google photos is the most common for Android devices as it is typically connected to the gmail account used to setup the Play Store. Google Drive does typically offer 25GB free storage, so this would be a good place to check first. See the link below.
