popup error

I just recently started getting a error on my S3 that says Unfortunatly, the process android. process. media has stopped and sometimes it is followed by Unfortunatly, the process com. google. process.gapps has stopped after pressing the OK to the first message. I noticed it first when I received a text message with a totally different notification sound then what I had set. I mainly get the message when going into settings then sound and now it pops up. Also when reciveing a call there is no sound and the message pops up. Has anyone else had this problem or know how to correct it.

I'm getting the same thing, right after Verizon performed an update of some sort.  It's

It's happening when I try to perform pretty much anything, and it often closes the

app that I was trying to run before the popup showed up.  I'm totally frustrated!

I went to Verizon over the weekend they said it was one of my apps however I havent added any new ones. Well they ended up having to do a factory reset to my phone I lost some stuff but I didn't have much on my phone that wasn't recovered. The problem is gone. Good luck with yours.

I hope your phone is still running nice and smooth mark94! The reset may not be the favorite thing on anyone's  to-do list, but it is a great way to clear out any corruptions that may have occured. If it does come down to a full reset http://bit.ly/LfV00q then it'll clear out everything from your phone. Sometimes it may be as simple as a particular application that didn't play well with the update and uninstalling the application http://bit.ly/RzUXFh is all that's needed.
