I am in Chicago (60661). For the last couple days I have been having issues with EXTREMELY slow 4g LTE data speeds. I am unable to open playstore, instagram, internet browser, or any other apps.. I have 3-4 bars and am receiving/sending calls and text messages. Is anyone else having this problem?
I am experiencing the same problems. I cannot open the Internet and other apps such as My Verizon Mobile and Playstore. Yet I can make and receive phone calls and send and receive texts. The overall speed is slow as well. I live in the Twin City area. Chicago is actually my hometown. It appears this seems to happen in the daytime on my end.
I reported this to a Verizon technical rep yesterday and after trying different options on my phone, he advised that he can see I am not receiving a total connection and opened up a service ticket. He also advised he did not see any other reports of such problems in my area as of yet.
I did see some error messages alluding to not connecting to the server. I know the upgraded software Jelly bean 4.3 is being forwarded to some devices. I wonder if this might be in the crossfire.
I wish a Verizon rep could interject with some imput.
