Advanced Messaging is an Android only feature, while Apple devices use iMessage. *Zaak

I think you have to be using Verizons messaging app and not the Samsung messaging app but that's unproductive for Samsung users that have their watches or any other wearable because the Verizon messaging app isn't compatible with the wearable devices. Remember samsung phones come with 2 messaging apps if you have Verizon. There is the regular Samsung texting app and then the Verizon messages app that's red but again it doesn't work with wearable so most of us turn it off or disable the Verizon one anyway. It will only give notification and not allow you to send quick responses or messages properly if you try to use the different one on the wearable device.

@WILL_WEST213 you don't have to be using Verizon messages in order to use advanced messaging.. Advanced messaging is for Samsung users who use the stock Samsung texting app that comes with the phone. Just like apple has their own use for their users. And I just finished reading your comment, and you went from texting to wearable watches. I didn't understand what wearable watches had to to with the Samsung chat features

Do you have the latest phone update for your Samsung phone? From what I see it's working now for everyone so weird yours is not. Are you getting the error message still when you open Samsung messaging?

You cannot seriously be expecting all of your users to factory reset their phones after every update you send out! That's completely ludicrous!

We can assure you that we are here to help in any way we can. It is important that we look at all the options available. Did you try to power cycle your device? Do you have any other updates pending? ~Gina

My phone just updated yesterday and so did my husbands. We both have the galaxy note 10 + phones...there is no advanced messaging feature on either of our phones. We have a "allow read status" and a "share typing indication" option which both phones are set to on and neither of our phones settings work. We can't see when the other has "read" a message and can't see when the other is typing. This seems to be a Verizon issue because my friend that has AT&T note 20 ultra - his works just fine. $300 a month we pay, and can't even get what we want. We are about to switch!
