This is true for all cell phones:

1) Turn of Wifi, bluetooth, and GPS when not in use.

2) Make your screen less bright. Keep it only as bright as absolutely necessary'

3) Keep your sleep time as short as possible. Go to sleep in 2 seconds is the shortest. I don't particularly like such a short time span and use 1 minute.

These are the three basic rules for lengthening battery life. However, if you stream music, cruise the net for long periods of time, or watch a lot of videos, all bets are off. These will greatly shorten battery life.

finding the Note 2 does not have a longer battery life than my LG Intuition.  sad......................  and now my Note 2 will not connect to any of my 5 bluetooths.

This is odd to me. Im a pretty heavy user and i get over 24 hours on a full charge. I leave wifi on. All location services on. Auto screen brightness that times out at 30 seconds. I dont even try to conserve because i easily get through the day on a charge. I plug it in at the office at around 9 and it charges for an hour or so and the next morning at 9 i usually have 20%+ left. I stream podcasts, spotify, facebook and words with friends quite a bit. I happen to live and work where there's a strong signal though. Also, don't turn off wifi if it's available. If youre near the router and have a good wifi signal, it's much better on the battery than lte.

The biggest problem is polling for data. Most people have everything set to or developers have their app set to poll every 10 minutes or less. Just changing it to 30 minutes or longer on a lot of applications will greatly increase life. Even setting it to poll on open makes an even bigger difference.

My wife and I both have the Note 2 and for her, she normally can go two days without charging her phone and she has her work exchange email set to push but other than that, she doesn't use it normally between 8am-4pm since she's a teacher and has more to worry about than checking facebook and such.

As for me, I actually manage almost 500 Verizon cellular devices for the company I work for as well as many other items so I use my phone a lot for note-taking when trouble-shooting issues or when I'm in a meeting.  I did set my exchange email to check for new mail every 5 minutes and I turn off WiFi & Bluetooth upon arriving to work via the Samsung TecTile I setup.  Other than that, I keep only a few widgets on my home screen since those will also use up battery life since they check for updates periodically as well.  Oh, and can't forget the lunch-time Hulu or Netflix streaming tv show I watch while I eat most days as well.  With all that, my phone still has a 50% charge normally around 6pm.

Even though the batteries are not supposed to have a memory, you should still preform at least 2 full charge cycles in my opinion when you get the phone and then every half year or so.  By this, I mean to deplete your battery to less than 10% and then charge it fully and let it sit an hour or two after it is fully charged to ensure it "tops off".  I have seen this help many phones that I have worked on in my company.

OH, and if you still have battery issues with the NOTE 2, and you have an exchange email account setup on your phone, try deleting it and re-adding it (make sure you have the info you need to re-set it back up before you delete it though) and that has worked for my old Android (HTC EVO 4G) and a few others that I have seen a serious battery draining on.  This was something I was made aware of since it is a bigger issue with iPhones than Android phones but they both sync up to the Exchange server for emails, calenders, contacts, etc so they should both be subject to the same types of errors/issues.

Hope this helps some if you are still having issues.

It's the S Voice! I had to disable it to get my bluetooth to work.Of course, you lose a lot of cool features. But I have to have my bluetooth. What kind are you using. I use the ERA. by Jawbone. I didn't have any problem pairing it. Just wouldn't talk to my bluetooth.
