Block Junk Text Messages?

Robocalls are certainly annoying.  What's more annoying to me, however, are junk texts.  For some reason I get sales texts for someone named Alfred every day.  So many text messages.  Does Verizon have anything that can block text messages the same way that the call filter blocks junk calls?

it reports the spam, get a reply back asking for the number and what happens after that I don't know
