After taping on check for system updates, It says "Service Unavailable. Sorry we are having trouble authenticating your device. Try again later." This started happening after I put a sim card from my Verizon jetpack into my phone to try something. so I took it out and I put my sim card that was Originally in it back in. I tried the Verizon upgrade assistant, but after downloading 500mb, it only downloaded to 4% complete and I cant do that. The only way I was able to update my phone was to put the sim card from my Verizon jetpack back into my phone and that worked. How can I fix this? Thanks

I know this is frustrating bradc94. I'm sorry you're not receiving that error message. We can help with some steps to correct this issue. I first recommend resetting the network settings https://vz.to/2I7bWLV . This will help with any connection problems that may be causing issues updating your software.

 

If you continue to have problems after the above steps, I  recommend getting the SIM card replaced on your phone. We can send you one for free if we speak with you privately by phone, chat, Facebook or twitter. You can also stop by a corporate Verizon store for a free SIM card.

I reset network settings but I still get "service Unavailable" message when checking for system updates.

swapping sim cards didn't help, get a new one from cs.
