I just got a new Galaxy Note Edge yesterday. Normally I charge my phone at night when I go to sleep. Last night I noticed that when it was charging, the screen would turn off, show the night clock on the edge bar for a couple of seconds, then the screen would come back on and it would make a beeping noise. The screen then would shut down again, show the clock again, and then turn on and beep once again. It just kept doing this over and over and over. I started looking at some solutions online and so far I haven't been able to find a fix. I ended up unplugging it and just charging it this morning when it wouldn't bother anyone. The funny thing is that when it got close to a full charge, it stopped doing that. Among the things I tried were to make sure the "Stay Awake" feature was disabled (had to enable the developer options to do this), also made sure the "Daydreaming" feature disabled. I found a similar case on this community (https://community.verizonwireless.com/thread/822847?start=10&tstart=0), and one person made a comment at the end of the thread, and that's exactly what's happening to me. Any ideas?

I had thought maybe the case had something to do with it because there was
a red light that would come on before the screen turned on, so I had moved
it away from the sensor and it was still doing it. But trying a different
power cable worked. Before I was using a cable I had bought recently and
worked ok with my previous note 3 and with my wife's Motorola phone, so I
wouldn't think that would've been an issue. But trying the Samsung cable
that came with the phone worked and it didn't do it anymore. Is this
because of the fast charging option? Or is it a new thing with Samsung?
Thanks a lot for your help. I really appreciate it.
Regards,
Mark

Congratulations on your new phone, MAlbores! I want to make sure that there are no disruptions during your slumber. Can you please try going to Settings>Sound>Screen Lock Sound and uncheck it. Please let me know if the beeping continues.

Hello,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately this didn't help. The issue isn't only
that it's beeping. The main issue is that the screen keeps turning on and
off over and over again while charging. I've owned a bunch of Android
devices and this is my second Samsung one, and I've never seen this before.
Any other ideas?

I'm sorry the last step didn't work. Do you show any software updates on your phone MAlbores?

Thank you for updating us and reviewing all the provided details, MAlbores. Let's look a bit further into this! Just to make sure, do you currently have any covers, cases, or screen protectors being used with your Note Edge? If yes, any difference if you remove them? By chance, have you tried using a different charger to see if the issues reappear while charging?
Keep us posted!
