The phone hasn't been announced yet. It won't be until August 2nd at Samsung's event. Until then it is only speculation for the cost of the phone. I would suggest waiting until the official press release from Verizon Wireless when they announced the price of the phone.

this is rumoured in uk as £650 which equated to 900; i say 950 or 1000. looking at s7 , they hit price on the nail before it came out,regardless, in a week and a day, i will and they back that price, and assure all it won't be 33 a month. the s7 will then not be the top dog anymore.

note 7 never for me. they want 900 outa pocket;im not a sucker..i will stay with s7edge and when s9edge comes my contract will end.

I was talking to a Verizon employee in the sales department and had the same question.  They explained that the promotion is offered through Samsung, and that after devices are shipped to you, there are a few steps that need to be taken at the Samsung Promotion website in order to qualify for the various promotions offered in conjunction with the device.  Here is the website:Samsung Galaxy Offer

The difference of $70 spread over a couple years is totally worth it to me for the S-Pen.  I'd miss it far too much to give it up for that little difference, though if they had a non-edge version of the new Note, I'd take it.  And I was hoping for the subsidized version with the 2-yr contract, but I'd have to give up my unlimited data, which is harsh.

Thanks, very helpful!  You'd think they could but that somewhere on the page, if only in the fine print.  And over there, it'd be nice if they mentioned you needed the phone in hand not just a preorder--I wouldn't have bothered starting if I knew I couldn't finish yet!
