Google Now "message not sent" error on Note 3 after 4.4 update

When using a voice command to send text, Google Now properly adds the contact and adds my message.  When asked if I want to send it saying yes or clicking yes returns a "message not sent " error and asks if I want to open in messages.  When I do there is a draft message but it has not sent.  Any ideas?
