This is complete [removed]!  Seems everyone else is getting updates for there phones and every carrier has released the 5.1 update for the note 4.  What is the damn hold up?  I thought verizon is supposed to be the best!  My wife and I are having to deal with lagging, freezing, phones reseting and all I hear from other people is that the update fixes all the bugs and issues with 5.01.   You (verizon) claims to be the best when ur actually proving to be the worst.  Fix this issue asap please!!!

Is it necessary to be rude and profane about it? Last time I checked, the T-Mobile model hasn't gotten 5.1.1 yet either.

Samsung writes the code. Samsung has to say it is ready for certification. When the certification has been completed, then it is released jointly by Verizon Wireless AND Samsung.

I have also been reading rumors that the Verizon Wireless model of the Note 4 will skip 5.1.1 and go straight to Marshmallow 6.0 so that can account for the delay you are perceiving.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

This is what I found on samsung.youmobile.org:

All other Galaxy Note 4 variants will get Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update before the end of the year. We have also confirmed before that that Note 4 will officially get Android 6.0 Marshmallow update by early 2016 with wide variants of other Samsung models.
