How do I move text messages from a Droid Maxx to a Galaxy Note 4?

How do  I merge text messages from my old phone, droid maxx to my new phone galaxy note4?

The messages are on the old phone stored within it's internal memory.

The sd card has been transferred to the Note4 along with contacts and photos.

thank you... I think I already have the app installed on the note4 and I believe it was installed on the droid I'll take a look. if the app had never been set up to do a backup can i still get the messages ?

You will have to do a manual backup.
