Why is Verizon Pushing Note 7 users to "Upgrade" to a Lesser
Phone?? I upgraded my Note 5 to the Note 7, if I cannot keep my Note
7, I will just go back to using my Note 5. Im not interested in
Replacing my Note 7 for a lessor Phone that I have no interest in
owning. I want a REFUND on my Note 7 and I'll just go
back to using my Note 5. For some Verizon hasn't Listed instructions on
how to get a Refund for your note 7 only how to swap it out for another
phone. Samsung cleary states we are entitled to a REFUND on our Note 7,
we do not have to trade the Note 7 in for a lesser phone that we do not
want. VERIZON how do I process a Refund for my Note 7, I am not
interested in replacing the Note 7 with a lesser phone. I just want
a REFUND on my note 7 so I can go back to using my Note 5 and put
all this Drama behind me. VERIZON-where are the instructions on how to get a
Refund for my note 7

Take it to any VZW Corporate Store and return the device. Bring all accessories as well as the receipt (which can be found on Documents and Receipts online). Print out or screenshot the Samsung website saying you are entitled to a refund.

They are no longer accepting Note 7 returns in the stores.
They have a 'flyer' that tells you what to do but it ASSUMES that you are going to get another new phone.
They could not answer my questions about obtaining the recovery packaging to ship the Note 7 back and told me to chat online with Verizon. That person was clueless and was trying to get me to do a 'trade in' which did not work. Now this morning, I need to call the Customer Service number. It should not be that difficult to get a recovery package to ship the phone back. The online person should have been able to take my address and send it out but NO!!!!!!

I called in late Tuesday night to 611 and a very helpful person working in California didn't know how to handle my refund (paid for the phone, no upgrade/payment involved). she talked to her boss that didn't know how to process it either. She was going to call me Wednesday after the boss got more information but - no phone call.
I went to my order history page (searched return in the top corner search window to find right page) and the original online order said it was within the return period (but the store exchange was not). out of curiousity i clicked the return links and printed a USPS mailing label
i won't be mailing it back just yet - i know they wanted their special box used, and I want to KNOW that my CC will be credited the 900 bucks...
anyway - my story doesn't help you much but at least you know you're not alone!

I'm sorry you haven't heard back about your return process, shrxwin. You are able to complete a return for your device without upgrading. A prepaid box is being delivered to the address on file and a refund will be provided to your payment method since you purchased at full retail. Again the fact sheet does not explain how to return the phone without upgrading. I will be happy to return the Note 7 but I do not want to upgrade. At this point I am done with Verizon and I will be taking my business elsewhere. How can I return this phone, corporate stores will not accept them.

May I ask why, over a Samsung problem, that affected all carriers WORLDWIDE would you leave verizon? There has to be a DIFFERENT reason.
Let's say the recall never happened, would you still have left?

Yes I was planning to go to Google Fi until the note came out. I will just continue with this plan since I rarely ever use data. I don't see any other phone on the market that really catches my eye and the Note 7 was great for my work and school life. I understand this is a new precedence for a recall and I am sure all carriers are just trying to figure it out. I am just disappointed in the lack of communication to get a simple box sent to ones house.

Hi @andreas_vzw - was your reply specific to my account about the box being sent? or just that in general that boxes are being sent?
Thank you Clarice
