I would have to wonder, since this phone seems to have a lot of issues that both Verizon and Samsung have been told about, and neither are willing to step up and correct the issues, or accept the phones back for another model, I would see this as a contract violation and I would think we would have grounds as owners that have been wronged, we could file a class action suit. I am sure there is an Attorney out there that would love to attack either or both of these giants on such an issue.

Read your customer agreement. By using their service , you gave up the right to file a class action lawsuit. Thank the US Supreme Court for that ruling.
You can file as an individual in small claims court or go through VZW arbitration

They are already looking forward to an update. When your phone receives an update, the latest update has been announced. In this case, we're talking Lollipop 5.0.

Well, I hope they issue an update well before 5.0 that won't be here until sometime next year

They may release 4.5, but I, personally, haven't heard anything about a 4.5.
