MHL HDMI Output killed by 4.3 Update On Note II

After spending Saturday at the Best Buy Experience Store and the Verizon Wireless Store, Both have decided that The 4.3 Update has killed my HDMI out on the Galaxy Note II. The HDMI is dead on the Samsung Multimedia dock, and the Samsung MHL HDMI cable. The dock outputs not HDMI on the Samsung S3 Either. The Samsung MHL HDMI cable still works with the Samsung S3. The Verizon store tested a Note 3 and had the same problem. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi RandyBundy516
I'm sorry to hear your having an issue with your Note 2. I'd love to look into this with you. Have you tried a different cable? I'm sorry I'm not showing a known issue with this device.

Please back up the device and attempt a hard reset and retest. It may be caused by an application. Here's how:http://vz.to/1d2FCr5

I look forward to working with you and getting this resolved.

You're funny. Did you miss the part where I spend the day at Best Buy and

then The Verizon store! My warranty on my Note expires the 1st of March and I can

send the device in to Samsung for Repair, but will be without while they

repair it and according to Verizon store it will still not work!

A little help here? Please?

Sorry you had to spend so much of your valuable time RandyBundy516. If you have already attempted the hard reset, that is the final troubleshooting step. If your device is under warranty, a certified like new replacement would be the next step. If the warranty replacement is completed through us, you would not be without a device. You will have your current device until the replacement arrives. Please let us know what option will be best to meet your needs.

We would need to review your account specifics via PM RandyBundy516. If the device is less than a year old and doesn't contain any physical or liquid damage, it may be able to be replaced under warranty. We're following you now. Have you attempted to troubleshoot this concern prior to posting on the community forums? You stated you had contacted Samsung. Did you attempt to work with us first?

I went to the Verizon Store in Pueblo Saturday. They said replacing the

device would not solve the problem because they tried the HDMI out on

several Samsung Devices including the Note 3 and it did not work.

I understand, RandyBundy516.  Have you reached out to Samsung Support http://bit.ly/1fuGgut for further direction?

Samsung says to send them the phone and they will repair it.

Thanks for the details RandyBundy516. If you find that you want to work directly with the manufacturer, it is certainly up to you. Whatever option you find to be most convenient.
