Manually Updated Note 9 to Pie

There are numerous videos and how to guides that show how to get the official OTA update on the Verizon variant of the Note 9.  Since this is the official OTA package from Samsung for Verizon, it will not break you future OTA's such as security updates.  To be clear, you are not doing anything out of the ordinary that will modify your phone other than installing from recovery mode.  Speaking security, this version also includes the January security update.  The process is explained very clearly, and it was about a 20 minute process.  Additionally, since you are not breaking the boot loader, this will not void your manufacture's warranty.  If Verizon even pushes a last minute tweak, you will still be able to retrieve it the regular OTA way.

Which process did you use? (Location of video, etc.)

Go to  https://firmware.science

Enter your model number, current version, and it pops up with the next versions (CSAA).

Further instructions are available at the website.

The latest firmware from Firmware.Science is now CSB3.  I just want Verizon to push the OTA update.  People shouldn't have to side load their firmware, especially for a flagship phone.  I suppose such a release would impact your S10 sales.  You know I'm sure there are corporate memo's floating around that explain the delay.  Your decision to delay without explaination is not good for your stocks.

J_Icon,

I completely understand your desire to have the latest updates. Rest assured, any delays keeping an Android version from your device have nothing to do with the release of a newer device model.

I want to advise against installing a software update not automatically pushed to your Verizon bought device that is not listed here: http://spr.ly/6601EnjdB

This link will also advise when the latest Note 9 updates become available. I hope this is helpful.

If you guys would just push the OTA updtae, we wouldn't have to resort to these measures to get it. The update has been out since August of last year! You guys are suppose to be the #1 company, yet we are the last ones to receive the update.

I will be sideloading my update as soon as I get back home tonight. I have been with you guys for well over 14 years, but I truly think that it is time to move on to another provider that provides nearly the same quality of service for a fraction of the price.

Yeah too bad Verizon go ahead and release the software right away like the others that have so their customers could also experience a bunch of issues and problems too!

#1 should be first with giving their customers the new software and device issues so they can be #1 in complaints and phone problems instead of completing proper testing to ensure the deployment is as ready as possible! Lol.
