My phone turned off by itself. When I turned it back on it went to the red Verizon screen but no further. I have tried everything that I know of to do: battery out, sim card out then back in. I can't do a soft or hard restart because it won't boot up for me to do it! Does anyone know how to fix this?
I understand how frustrating it can be when you experience difficulties with your phone SelenaMikell. Let's get your phone back up and running. When did this start happening? Were you installing any new apps or software when it shut off on it's own? Is there any physical or water damage to the phone?

I have the exact same problem.
Let’s get this resolved so you have a fully functioning phone that you need, Katwild. I know this can be challenging, (to say the least), to work with. Do you also have the Note II? When did this start happening? Is there any physical or liquid damage to the phone? Please elaborate so we can better understand and assist.
