They actually released it rather quickly compared to AT&T and T-Mobile.

They probably gave in to public pressure like what you are doing now...

So basically you want your buggy update faster and then you'll be happy? You want your phone to brick sooner than later? This is your logic?

Because VZW has to add all its bloatware to help fill your phones memory up to you can't have room to put on it what you want on your phone and they can put it on there so you can't remove it something you can't do.  They also like to disable features that may be useful to some of their customers and then when you ask about they they don't have any idea what you are talking about.  I have updated my phone when first released by VZW and I have waited a few days to see what problems others are having and I have noticed no difference, either way I have to do a little tweaking to fix an issue or so.  The only update I had a real issue with was the one on the S3 which turned many S3's into paper weights for 2-3 weeks while VZW pulled heads out of fanny and put a fix on the issue.  The only trouble I had then was could not make a phone call or send text.  Data was OK

What difference does it make now with the history VZW has with failed updates.  We get a failed update now or we get it 3 months down the road.  A failed update is a failed update, now or later.

EXACTLY. These people are complaining that Verizon is taking too long to deliver a buggy update. If an update is going to be buggy I'd rather wait as long as possible before it's thrust upon me.

A) While I despise bloatware as much as you these are not the days with phones that have sub 1 GB of storage. So to say their bloatware fills up a phone that has at least 16 GB( as most phone do ) is a bit hyperbolic.

B) While Verizon does tests the updates they do not have millions of testers that can account for every possible scenario. So just like any program, sometime things are not detected until the program is out in the wild. Even iOS has issues when a new version is first released. And Apple should have less issues than Android since it's not nearly a fragmented with dozens of different devices.

That 1 GB is more space on my phone than I and others want to use for apps we want and not something no one uses and can't get them off our phones.

I have no care about iOS never have used it and can care less about it.  this is not an iOS discussion group.  If you want to discus iOS then please go to an iOS discussion group.

I switched to Tmobile after having Verizon for 11 years....  WORST mistake ever... I lasted a month with Tmobile and now due to Verizons "bring back" program (they erased almost $400 on my account for me to come back with a clean slate) I am back with Verizon.  So please think twice.  Tmobile was horrible.. yes my NOTE 3 had 4.4 on Tmobile, but the service was horrible.

Verizon is well aware that we are all clamoring for the 4.4 update however what you have to come to terms with and realize is they DON'T CARE you signed the contract and are at their whims and decisions for a minimum of two years. After the contract expires they may show you some love but I doubt it they could care less about their customer base on a whole and think that we won't leave

Spoke to a rep that says they aren't going to release the update until after the s5 is out in a Verizon make no sense effort to force people to buy the s5
