First, on the BB site, the Note 8 is on sale for an additional $150 off. They also say select phones have a trade value of $480. With trade it brings price to $12.75/month. BB site says to go to Verizon to send phone back and get credit. But VZ amount is lower than what BB says it should be - Only $132 . How do we get VZ to honor the BB promotion?

Well the promotion is also on the Verizon website, so it shouldn't be hard to get the credit. I've read elsewhere (not from official source) that once you activate the new phone, you can trade it in one from that point on Verizon's website. Was on Verizon chat help today, and they said the 50% off is valid even if buying from Best Buy, but they indicated that the return process will be handled through Best Buy Verizon.
So I'm confident that we can combine the offers, just not entirely sure as to what the process will look like. I imagine going in store and talking to the reps at Best Buy Verizon would be the best bet.

Just got off phone with BB. Was told you get the 50% off PLUS and additional $150 if ordered through BB. I will be cancelling my order with Verizon and going through BB unless Verizon wants to price match. IJS

i'm going to assume you don't. Best bet is to physically go into a BB and trade.

Your best bet is to go to BB. Unlike Walmart, Verizon does not price match.

Unfortunately it looks like BB will be holding delivery of the phones until 9/14 at the earliest. Verizon has already shipped most pre-orders to customers that ordered them direct. For many, though, saving the additional $150 is worth waiting an additional 10 days.

Can you get the payments at best buy Verizon like you do at Verizon, or do you have to have a best buy credit card?

Yes. Purchases from authorized third-party vendors such as Best Buy work exactly the same as purchasing through Verizon directly. You do not need a Best Buy Credit Card.

Once you have received the phone, you would process the trade in exactly as you would a regular trade in via Verizon's website.

When complete, it should tell you that you qualify for a promotional trade in offer, assuming you're trading in an eligible device. The trade in offer comes in the form of a bill credit over the course of the 24 month installment billing plan. This typically takes 1-2 billing cycles to take effect.
