No Signal with the Note 3!!!

What is going on with this phone?  After the update in May the signal is intermittent and very frequently the phone cannot find signal and has to be rebooted.  I am in the Los Angeles area and at various locations the phone will just have "no signal" when I need it the most.  This is totally unacceptable.  The fix technical support has given me is to replace the phone with a refurb but how is it a problem with the phone is so many others are experiencing it too?

Can Verizon technical support shed some light on what the problem is?  Obviously a ton of people are having this issue so why has this issue not been acknowledged yet?
