Picked up a pair of Note 3's from Best Buy yesterday and have not been able to activate them. The Wife was on the phone with Tech Support for 3-4 hours last night to no avail. Had issues getting the plan we were already promised (giving up unlimited) which is a whole different issue, but the phones just time out when "activating". The Rep av V said that the problem was an influx of new phones hitting the airwaves for Christmas and the activations would get "pushed" at 3AM Eastern when the system updated for the new day but of course that didn't happen. Has anybody else had an issue with the Note 3 activation process? I'm hoping somebody can tell me what worked (ie new phones, new sim, new carrier lol) or any other advice on the matter. Phones still won't activate as of 1:00 pm today. FYI, on the V website it doesn't show our device as the Note 3, it just shows as "Pending". Are they missing something at V? It sure seems like it. Never had an issue in the past with any upgrade or transfer of a bought phone.
As long as your power cycling your devices (turning them off then back on) every 5-10 minutes, and letting them stay on for 2-5 minutes they should be attempting to program.
Verizon's 4G devices program via sim card, which is done in the first 5 minutes of powering the device on. Make sure that WiFi is off and Mobile Data is on, and they should program fairly quickly, but you may have to restart them several times. Just make sure your waiting at least 5 minutes first.
That being said, if problems persist, try a new SIM
