What happened to the Samsung App Store or Galaxy App store or Galaxy Essentials or any other name. The point being that after the update i noticed i did not have an icon for the Samsung app store by whatever name they are using. Trying to find it my using various links, only takes me to Samsung's home.page.

marc10406, I have the Note 4 and I got the Lollipop update two weeks ago and noticed that the Galaxy Apps disappeared. I am not sure what happened to the Galaxy Apps but I did find the Galaxy Essentials in the Widgets. Try looking in your Widgets for Galaxy Essentials.

I have the same issue on my note 3. I tried using the stock samsung browser, and was not able to find anything. I have been missing this feature since my first update from kitkat 4.2 to kitkat 4.4. One other feature I have been missing is the face unlock feature. I to have tried various links, but thy all take me to the Samsung website.

With the new Lollipop update Samsung/Verizon has blocked access (both to install and use) to the Samsung Galaxy App Store, I downloaded the apk (program) and opened it and it gave me a message saying that this app cannot be installed on this device. That's a first, That sucks Verizon !

After I had posted my earlier message I had a chat with a Samsung Rep. I was told by this rep that the Galaxy Apps is an app that carriers can determine if they want to use or not. I did not really believe this and I got my Galaxy Tab S and looked to see if the app was on it. I did find it on there and I transferred it to my Note 4. It installed with no problems but when I tried to run it, I got the "Galaxy Apps has stopped working" error. I also found out that my Galaxy Essentials also stopped working. Once I uninstalled Galaxy Apps everything went back to normal. I am kinda waiting for my Galaxy Tab S to get the Lollipop since it is a Wi-Fi Tablet maybe Galaxy Apps will not be removed.

Very interesting. I have a note 3. I have the galaxy essentials on my
device, and it works fine. I find it very hard to believe that Verizon
would block this feature on the note 4, but keep access to it on the note
3. Something very puzzling is going on between Google-Samsung-and all the
carriers. I hope that an agreement is reached between them all very soon,
so we can all get our phones back to working the way they should.

My Galaxy Essentials works fine on my Note 4. It didn't want to work when I try to install the Galaxy Apps (that I got from my Samsung Galaxy Tab S Tablet). The app Galaxy Apps (Samsung App store) was removed from the Note 4 after we got the Lollipop update.

For the Note 3, the Widget is not available. So it appears that it has been removed from the Note 3 for Lollipop.
