The back of my Note 3 heats up to a physically painful temperature when using wifi connection. The battery drains at 5% per minute when on wifi connection. The mobile data connection is unaffected by these problems. This began after Android 4.4.2 update was pushed in June 2014. Anyone else encounter this? Any thoughts or ideas? Really pulling my hair out here.

I'm sorry you're having issues with your awesome Note 3. Have you had any software updates PeaceLoveAndProperty? Have you tried a factory reset on your phone? Is there any damage tot he device?

Thanks for your response, Kinquana. I have had two software updates to my device since I purchased it in November of 2013. On 12/14/13 it successfully updated to update_SM-N900V_MJ7_to_MJE. On 5/24/14 it successfully updated to update_SM-N900V-MJE_to_NC4. I accessed this information in the system menu > about phone > software update.
