I received a rather large software update yesterday via the Software Upgrade Assistant. I was already running Android 4.3, and that's the version I still have, according to the phone. Any idea what this update might have been? Unfortunately, the update didn't come with any notes, or indication of what I was getting, what it was intended to address, etc. Would appreciate any information you might have.
Thanks!

The update is also downloading to my computer right now. It lists the upgrade as MI9, which is already what the Note 3 is running. Weird.

You may not want to accept update, there are alot of folks complaining it made their note 3 worse than before. Wished I knew how to get original software back because as bad as it was, it was better than this latest update, good luck.

LShan, seeing it is believing it. You can view your current software and verify if any software updates are available by following the steps listed below:
From a home screen, select Apps ( located in the lower right).
From the Apps tab, select Settings.
Select About phone.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users who may have been experiencing connectivity and sound quality issues will be glad to know that a fix is now available. Since its release last month, the Verizon Galaxy Note 3, model number SM-N900V is now receiving its first software update. Verizon began rolling out the software update to customers on Wednesday (Nov. 6), along with it comes improved connectivity and sound. The new update brings the Galaxy Note 3 existing Android 4.3 OS up to build number VRUBMJ7. As Droid Life reports, Verizon Galaxy Note 3 owners are receiving the software update through Verizon’s update tool or traditionally, in the form of an over-the-air (OTA) update

Connectivity issues mainly. Here is one quote: "now my phone wont hold a consistent signals with fluctuations from 1x to 3g to LTE.This happens in spots where i would be able to hold a LTE signal but now goes to 3g or 1x. This didnt happen until this update yesterday."
